Air Jordan 11 “Wool” Release Date,It seems that Jordan Brand is apparently planning to establish a trend of woolen sneakers. Winter is coming and sneakerheads will likely be making every possible effort to keep their feet from freezing in the cold temperatures. Wool has always been one of the most promptly available, renewable and sought-after resources. Due to its sculptural and warming qualities, wool has proven to be an ideal choice for footwear over the years. Jordan Brand’s Jordan release for the Holiday Season 2016 already includes two woolen sneakers. However, perhaps Jordan Brand is aiming for a collection because the Air Jordan 11 is also receiving the wool treatment. Continue reading Air Jordan 11 “Wool” Release Date
Kobe 10 Elite “Grinch” has not received a general Nike release 2015; rather they have specifically listed it as a custom option on NIKEiD. Unlike the previous, possibly Grinch-inspired colorway, this iteration resembles the character more accurately with its textured upper that is predominantly dressed up in green. The side panels featured Black Nike Swooshes, while Red that covers the laces further enhances the Holiday theme. Last but not least, the sneaker is also equipped with a White midsole and a Green outsole. This custom “Grinch” option of the Nike Kobe 10 Elite will be available on NIKEiD on December 22nd at a price of $245.
The Grinch-like sneaker had actually turned out to be one of the most popular colorways of the Zoom Kobe 6. The sneakerheads of today may or may not know this but the official nickname of the sneaker from Nike was actually “Green Mamba.” However, considering that it arrived at retailers on Christmas 2010, sneaker blogs and forums of the time were responsible for dubbing it “The Grinch” because of its resemblance to the character by Dr. Seuss. While the character who tried to steal Christmas may or may not have been the source of inspiration behind the bright green Zoom Kobe 6, but this upcoming Kobe 10 Elite certainly appears to be Grinch-inspired.
The Christmas Holiday finally arrives this week and so this is perhaps an ideal time to take a look back at a particular, very memorable sneaker that Nike dropped around Christmas time five years ago. The sneaker being referred to is the “Grinch” iteration of the Nike Zoom Kobe 6, which actually made its retail debut on Christmas Day itself, back in 2010. It is unlikely that sneakerheads at that time were expecting the theme to be repeated in the future. Yet, the latest Nike releases of the Kobe 10 Elite apparently draws from the same source of inspiration.

Not so long ago, the Nike Kobe 10 Elite Low had received the “Mambacurial.” The latest colorway, as its nickname suggests, there is a possibility that Kobe Bryant may sport them during opening night. The complaint that quite a few sneakerheads have had ever since this iteration was unveiled has got to do something with this very fact. They feel that the colorway does not coordinate and match well with the signature uniform of the Lakers and with the possibility of Kobe Bryant retiring soon, he may not appear at an opening night in the future. Regardless, there are also sneakersreleasedate that have already grown fond of the colorway.
For quite a long time, sneakersreleasedate.com have likely been earning for a simple Gold and Purple colorway of one of Kobe Bryant’s signature sneaker silhouettes to arrive at retailers. In recent times, Nike Basketball has been more focused on dropping colorways inspired by the Lakers. When the Nike recently unveiled the “Opening Night” colorway of the Kobe 10 Elite Low that Kobe Bryant is going to wear on court, some sneakerheads were not pleased with this new iteration. Nonetheless, Nike is obviously not going to bother considering altering this latest Kobe 10 Elite Low rendition, considering that its Nike release 2015 has already been confirmed.
Like previous renditions, this “Opening Night” colorway, which is predominantly made up of Gold and Purple, is also quite vibrant. The purple cover the toebox of its breathable Flyknit upper is slightly lighter, while the side panels that extend around the ankle are dressed up in a dark purple/royal blue hue. Of course, the sneaker is also equipped with a translucent Hyper Orange sole and features White Nike branding all over, while Gold accents can be spotted as well.
