Air Jordan 8 “OVO Kentucky”,As mentioned, the Air Jordan 8 “OVO Kentucky” iterations are one-of-one sneaker, which obviously means that they will likely never be up for grabs. However, they probably remind Jordanheads of the upcoming Air Jordan 8 Championship Pack colorways, which they will definitely be able to cop.Although Drake is the only who has the rare sneakers as a part of his Air Jordan collection, Instagram user @bigktheboss somehow managed to take photos of the kicks and shared them. Since the photos are more detailed than previous ones, it can be seen that the color scheme of the nearly all-Black and all-White sneaker is inspired by the Kentucky Wildcats, while its heel tabs feature the “OVO” logo. The tongues of this sneaker also sport a Red-colored Jumpman logo, which was not visible in its precious on-feet photos. Continue reading Air Jordan 8 “OVO Kentucky”

Air Jordan 8 Retro Threepeat White/Bright Concord-Black-Infrared Release Date
Late in February this year, Sneaker Release Date revealed that Jordan Brand will be releasing three pairs of Air Jordan 8 Retros namely Aqua, Chrome, and Threepeat. The slated return of the Air Jordan 8 has gone big with the famed kicks going all-star as a signature lifestyle shoe. After more than 10 years, the AJ8 Chrome will see its return while the AJ8 Retro Aqua will make for the second installment. Instead of just two, Jordan heads and fans would get toe experience three times the charm with the new Air Jordan 8 Retro Threepeat.
To commemorate such a feat, the Air Jordan 8 Retro Threepeat will be sporting a midsole inspired with the teams’ accent colors that Michael Jordan beat during the finals – yellow for Lakers, red for Blazers, and purple for Suns to pay tribute to each team.
In contrast to the shoe’s leather upper base which is composed of the simple colorway of white base and black detailing accents, the vivid colors of yellow, red, and purple stands out against its black and white background. The Air Jordan 8 Retro Threepeat also sports a tongue design taken from the original sample which features the Jumpman logo over an embroidered basketball and net instead of the usual fuzzy emblem found on Jordan 8s.
The AJ8 Retro Threepeat is actually paying homage to Michael Jordan’s straight winning his third championship as part of the Chicago Bulls team against the Phoenix Suns back in 1993, the Portland Trailblazers in 1992, and the Los Angeles Lakers in 1991. The last championship that MJ participated was quite historic given that he was suffering from a foot injury. But instead of staying back and resting, MJ still played with his signature shoes instead of the prescribed Nike shoes for players during that time.
The shoes’ outsoles also feature some notable features like the Jumpman logo set on a black backdrop while the rest are a mix of blue, Infrared, purple, and yellow colors. The white upper overlapping the part of the black shoelaces also sports the number “23” in part of Jordan Brand celebrating its anniversary and an embossed “AIR JORDAN” script can be found on the side of the shoes.
The official Jordan release date for the Air Jordan 8 Retro Threepeat was revealed to be late in October which is less than a month away from now. For a price of $190, the AJ8 Retro Threepeat is definitely a fantastic choice and it wouldn’t be a wonder if plenty of fans would take a cop for the pair once it hits Jordan Brand stores worldwide.
