Where to buy Air Jordan 12 “Gold Wings”
Release Date: April 2nd, 2016

Apart from the fact that Macklemore is not affiliated with this sneaker in any way, rumor has it that Jordan Brand has only produced 12,000 pairs, which makes it kind of a limited release. While Jordan Brand has yet to announce a release date, the Air Jordan 12 “Wings” will apparently hit the shelves somewhere in autumn (fall) in this year.Based on these photos, the Air Jordan 12 “Wings” appears to be dressed up in the classic “Playoff” color scheme, although some changes seem to have been made here and there. The entirely black upper is clearly made up of premium leather while the midfoot tabs are visibly feature a metallic gold construction with “WINGS,” the nickname of the sneaker, inscribed into them. While it is not visible, its heel will also feature the “Wings” branding from a classic poster featuring Michael Jordan.
It should be obvious by now that Jordan Brand is aiming high this year when it comes to the Air Jordan 12. The Air Jordan 12 “The Master” made its retail debut not so long ago, by the end of last year. Jordan Brand can be expected to drop plenty of other Air Jordan iterations over the course of this year, including the particularly iconic “Flu Game” and “French Blue” renditions. Back in October 2015, news had even begun circulating that Jordan Brand and Macklemore were once again working together, this time designing an Air Jordan 12 colorway that was dubbed the “Wings.”
Along with photos that provide a better, never-before-seen look at the sneaker, some surprising and unexpected information related to this sneaker’s release has also popped up. First and foremost, this comes directly from the Jumpan themselves, apparently while the Air Jordan 12 “Wings” does indeed exist but it actually has nothing to do with Macklemore. The fact of the matter is that the creation of this sneaker is not a result of a Jordan Brand and Macklemore collaboration. Instagram users @solespeed4image and @zsneakerheadz are the ones who posted these photos of this Air Jordan 12 iteration.
