Now that official photos of the Nike Air Flight 89 “Bred” have been published, sneakerheads can obviously see that the “Bred” colorway of the Air Jordan 4 is indeed the source of inspiration for this Nike sneaker. It is unmistakable that the sneaker sports a color blocking and colors that are quite familiar because of having been featured on the Air Jordan 4 quite a few times. While there is still no news of the exact date when the Nike release of the Nike Air Flight 89 “Bred” will be taking place, but it is good to finally get a better look at this Air Jordan-inspired Nike sneaker.The Air Flight 89 gets its name from the fact that Nike introduced it back in 1989. While some clueless sneakerheads may assume that this is first time that the sneaker’s colorway has been inspired by the Air Jordan 4, but that is actually not the case. The fact of the matter is that Nike had intentionally designed the Air Flight 89 inspired by the Air Jordan 4 from the very beginning, equipping the sneaker with the midsole and outsole of Jordan Brand’s fourth signature sneaker. Several NBA athletes, including Scottie Pippen, laced up in the Nike Air Flight 89 on the court.Avid sneakerheads do not have to guess the fact that the leather upper of the Nike Air Flight 89 “Bred” is entirely dressed up in ominous black. In order to add some contrast to the sneaker’s dark upper, red and grey colored accents can be spotted throughout. The midsole and outsole of the sneaker are also covered in multiple hues, including black, grey, red and white, which is also present in the form of speckles.
