Sneakerheads may not remember, Air Jordan 1 High “Storm Blue” happens to be one of the model’s original colorways. Since it is an OG rendition, it is also returning in OG form, which means that its tongues feature the “Nike Branding” that can indeed be spotted.
There has been no confirmation from Jordan Brand, but reports suggest that it will arrive at retailers around Christmas. So far, it is being alluded to that the release date of the Air Jordan 1 High OG “Storm Blue” will be December 23rd and it may end up retailing at a price of $160.While the summer is gradually nearing its end, this season happens to be a particularly notable time for Blue-colored Air Jordan sneakers. It had all started with the Air Jordan 6 “Sport Blue” and had not taken long for some Jordan Brand’s most coveted models like the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 4 to get dressed up in a Blue-themed color scheme. From the very beginning, even amongst the original Air Jordan 1 colorways, there had been the “Royal Blue” iteration. In fact, it turns out that another classic Blue-colored Air Jordan 1 OG colorway will apparently be one of Holiday 2016’s Jordan releases.

When it comes to Blue-colored/-themed Air Jordan sneakers, there is no denying that the inspiration behind them comes directly from Michael Jordan’s alumni, the University of North Carolina. Even Emsley A. Laney High School, where Michael Jordan used to study, may have inspired plenty of these colorways. Even the Washington Wizards, the team that Michael Jordan had joined later in his career, have Blue as a part of their official team colors. Even this year’s Black Friday release, the Air Jordan 3 OG ’88 “True Blue,” is also a Blue-themed sneaker and there are plenty of others.
